Hi, I'm Martha - I've recently graduated from Durham University, where I read Music (BA). During my final year I was Music Editor of Durham University's student newspaper, Palatinate, where I pioneered new content. I have also contributed to The Indiependent and Mercury Magazine. I now write for Written Records, a blog, alongside two friends, which aims to highlight underrepresented artists and underrepresented music. Alongside my written work, I co-hosted the Classical Music show Bach to Basics on Purple Radio.
Outside of student journalism and academia, I am a keen performer, playing the trumpet in a range of bands and orchestras, as well as performing in university and professional productions as an actor. I currently work in Classical Music Management.
